So sad to hear of your passing Ken. I loved to hear about your world war 2 adventures, your life growing up in London and how you overcame such a hard and upsetting childhood.
I was proud to be your gardener for many years. You had so much pleasure from your garden and took pride in its appearance. Even when you struggled to weed I’d see you tending to your borders in areas of the garden you could reach easier.
I enjoyed our bond and I always said you were the grandfather I never had.
You kept your faith and you enjoyed your visits from Lynda the vicar where I’d often be there when you took communion. You were such a gent I couldn't have asked for a nicer friend even though there was a 51 year age gap, it never seemed to matter. It shows how young at heart you were.
I hope you are with your past family and friends Ken. Sleep well my dear friend. Love Paul Elliott.
